1½-2 ounces gin
¼-½ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice

liqueur
Dash of crème de violette or other violet-flavored

Strain the mixed drink into the prepared serving
glass. Garnish with the lemon twist.

Basic Southside Cocktail
Serve in a chilled goblet.
1 mint sprig, crushed
1 slice lime
2-2½ ounces gin
1 ounce simple syrup
¾-1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
Dash of bitters
Fresh crushed ice
3-4 ounces soda water, chilled
Lime twist
Mint sprig
Combine the crushed mint sprig, lime slice, gin,
simple syrup, lime juice, and bitters in a shaker
half-filled with fresh ice; shake vigorously. Strain
the mixed drink over crushed ice in the prepared
serving glass. Add enough soda water to fill the
glass, and garnish with the lime twist and mint
sprig.

Basic Clover Club Cocktail
Serve in a chilled cocktail glass.
1½-2 ounces gin
¼ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
¼ ounce raspberry syrup
1 egg white
1-1½ ounces sugar
Lemon twist
Combine the gin, lemon juice, raspberry syrup, egg
white, and sugar in a shaker half-filled with fresh
ice; shake extra vigorously (to thoroughly mix the
egg white and sugar). Strain the mixed drink into
the prepared cocktail glass, and garnish with the
lemon twist.

Basic Negroni Cocktail
Serve in a chilled old-fashioned glass.
Fresh cubed ice
1-1½ ounces gin
1-1½ ounces sweet vermouth
1-1½ ounces bitters
Orange slice, wedge, or twist
Fill the prepared serving with fresh ice. Add the
gin, vermouth, and bitters, and stir well. Garnish
with the orange.

Basic French 75 Cocktail
Serve in a chilled flute.
1-1½ ounces gin
½-1 ounce simple syrup or orange-flavored
liqueur
½ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
Champagne or dry sparkling white wine, chilled
Lemon twist
Combine the gin, simple syrup or liqueur, and
lemon juice in a shaker half-filled with fresh ice;
shake vigorously. Strain the mixed drink into
the prepared serving glass, and add enough
champagne or sparkling wine to fill the glass.
Garnish with the lemon twist.

Basic Gin Sour
Serve in a chilled sours glass.
3 ounces chilled gin
1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar syrup
Lemon slice
Orange slice
Maraschino cherry
Combine the gin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup in a
shaker half-filled with ice; shake vigorously. Strain
the mixed drink into the prepared serving glass.

maraschino cherry.

Basic Gin and Tonic
Serve in a chilled collins glass.
Fresh ice
2 ounces chilled gin
Tonic water
Lime wedge
Fill the serving glass with fresh ice, and add the

ingredients. Squeeze the lime wedge over the drink
before dropping it into the glass.

Basic Gin and Soda
Serve in a chilled collins glass.
Fresh ice
2 ounces chilled gin
Club soda, chilled
Lemon wedge
Fill the serving glass with fresh ice, and add the
